In 1991 I started dancing at a restaurant that gave country dance lessons in San Bernardino, CA. When the instructors were going on vacation, they asked me to cover their class. I did and loved it! Through the years I have taught, learned and competed – both in couple and line dancing. I taught at couple places in California before moving to Oregon. In 1998 I started going to Bushwhackers and a few years later started to sub for other instructors as needed. I have taught for corporate events, weddings, choreographed routines for the Portland Bridal Show and worked with individuals in one-on-one lessons.

While in Oregon, I taught at Bushwhackers in Tualatin, Oregon, Ponderosa Grille & Lounge in Portland, Oregon and Shawn Gardner Dancing in Tigard, Oregon.  I have taught at events such as Sweetheart Jamboree (Bellevue, WA) and Portland Dance Festival (Portland, OR) and Line Dance Play Day (Kennewick, WA).

In January 2022 I started teaching in Idaho at Mac n’ Kelly’s Pub & Grill in Idaho Falls on Friday nights. Unfortunately, they closed in June 2022. I searched for a new venue and have rented space at Dance Unlimited of Rigby on Friday nights where I am continuing to offer lessons. I have been working with CEI to offer a line dance class through the college.  Come join me and learn to dance!
